2006 "Star" Employee of the Year

Each month hospital associates are chosen in a process that involves nominations and voting by their peers, patients, patient families, and physicians. At the end of the year, one of the stars is chosen as the Star Associate of the Year.

This year’s Associate of the Year is William B. Terhune

Bill began working as a Volunteer when the hospital first opened. He later became a part-time associate in July of 1987 and eventually went on full-time. Bill has worked in a variety of departments from being a transporter to working in materials management. Bill currently works in Oak Hill Hospital’s Fiscal department where he is a mail clerk handling all incoming and outgoing mail and assisting with all hospital copy machines “and anything else that’s needed.”

Bill is the patriarch of a large family. First there is Dr. William F. Terhune, his son, and Mrs. Jane Vione, his daughter. He has four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He says that he truly enjoys working with a great group of qualified and efficient people...“We are all family.”
